Remove Green AV

Green AV is a rogue anti-spyware program designed to scam users into purchasing a license in order to remove fake infections that Green AV reports. This parasite is a variant of Green Antivirus 2009. Both Green AV and Green Antivirus 2009 claim that if you purchase their software, $2.00 of their profit will be donated for enviromental protection. This is just another trick Green AV uses to make itself look like a legit program. Do not click on any of the popups or alerts it produces. Here is a screenshot of the parasite:

Infection with Green AV occurs when the user downloads a trojan or visits a malicious website that promotes this spyware. These malicious websites illegaly use Microsoft Windows logos to make it look authentic and safe. Once installed, Green AV starts alerting the user that their computer is infected with viruses and spyware. In addition, a browser hijacking occurs which brings up more malicious websites. Please use one of the following methods to remove Green AV from your system:

Kill processes: gav.exe, uninstall.exe

Delete files:gav.exe, mgrdll.exe, unistall.exe

Delete folders:
C:\Program Files\GAV
C:\Program Files\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GAV
