Remove Internet Security 2010

Internet Security 2010 is a rogue antispyware program promoted through malicious websites and Trojan viruses. Once installed, this rogue will run automatically in the background. Whenever Windows is restarted, Internet Security 2010 will run a fake scan. The results of the fake scan wil indicate that your computer has dozens of virus infectons. Then, an activation window will appear prompting you to purchase a license in order to remove these infections. Do not fall for this scam. The only infection your computer has is Internet Security 2010. Besides the fake scan, Internet Security 2010 will also create fake system alerts in another attempt to scare you into purchasing it. Follow the instructions below to remove this spyware. Here is a screenshot of this rogue program:

I purchased this internet security 2010 because of a threat indication on my computer. How do I resolve this issue? the company already charged my account.

  • @Patricia: You need to call your credit card company if you “purchased” Internet Security 2010. It is a scam, the Internet Security 2010 software does nothing but create fake alerts in order to trick you into paying. Follow the instructions on this website to remove it.

Not a single piece of advice on this page has helped me, because this damn trojan has blocked everything you told me to do in order to get rid of it. It kept me from going to the task manager, command prompt, system restore, and other thigns I forgot about. I’m taking this to a local repair shop tomorrow.

@DTDey: Please try booting into Windows Safe Mode with Networking and then follow the instructions on this site.

I hope this works. The “fake” Internet Security 2010 popped up on my computer 2 hours ago and I have not been to any websites that I don’t already visit now. Maybe one of those websites infected me. I only used myspace, facebook and yahoo mail and my girl scout website.

  • Barbara

I, like many others, could not go into safe mode, get into task manager, etc etc etc.

I went to my b/f’s house, came to this site, saved the fix to a CD, inserted it into my computer before turning my computer on, and hey it works. Thanks.

Do you have a physical address for this “company”? I’d sure like to pay them an in-person visit. I have the time and the means to do so.

  • ken

i got the virus last week. could do nothing on the computer. so i started it up again and clicked off all the internet security2010 that came up. i could go to microsoft security essentials and i finally got it to run a scan and clean it up. dont know if it will last. i would love to send them a virus.

  • king

I did every thing to get rid of this virus, eventually my pc shot down completely, so I took my dead PC to a local repair shop for $90.00 and its working fine again.

  • king

Does anybody know how i can get my money back from these rogues that rip us off with this crap.

  • gabi

Am i supposed to follow ever single step? Kill processes, Unregister DLLLs, etc?

What's your opinion?
